“Had a wonderful day fishing on a ponga owned by Crisanto Carmona, who did everything to find fish. As fishing was a bit slow, he decided we would stay out longer at no extra charge. He is an experienced fisherman who speaks excellent English so I had an enjoyable time talking back and forth throughout the excursion. The boat was in good shape along with the fishing gear and the boat was equipped with a 2-way radio. I landed a 25 kilo Dorado after about half an hour battle, wow what a “rocket”. We also had a sailfish strike but lost it as well as an interested marlin. This was all during the bonus fishing time!! Crisanto provided transportation to/from the Dreams Resort. I have spent many days fishing during vacations over the past thirty years and have to say that this was one of the most enjoyable fishing days due to Crisanto’s knowledge, attention to detail, friendliness, and personal touch. I would recommend this owner-operator to anyone looking for a good day fishing.”

“My wife and I along with another couple we met chartered and day trip with Crisanto. He arranged for a suburban to pick us up at our resort which took us to the marina. The driver was extremely nice and drove better than any of the other 7 drivers we experienced while in Hatulco. Crisanto had the boat ready with a cooler of bottled water and sodas. We first went out of marina and headed for open waters where we fished while working our way up the coastline. We did catch 2 fish and saw many sea turtles, dolphins and sting rays. We snorkeled in 2 bays as we toured the coastline and all 7 bays. He took us to one bay where we experienced the true Oxacan style of seafood cooked in one of the outdoor restaurants along the beach. He took time to show us all the points of interest and always had a smile. Now to important stuff. Crisanto was reasonably prices, attentive, knowledgeable and speaks very good english. He also has the respect of the her tour guides which is displayed by the way they all speak with him and share information about the location of fish. I highly recommend him and truly believe he is the best tour guide we have had in 18 years of going to Mexico.”

“Crisanto’s bay tour was the highlight of our trip. My husband and I both wanted to see the bays, but he really wanted to go fishing, and I wanted to snorkel. The hotel offerings for group bay tours were a bit cheaper. However, they just didn’t seem appealing. Crisanto let us do it all on a private tour that started with a bay tour and fishing and ended with snorkeling. He was extremely in tune with what we wanted to do and see, but he also let us just spend time together. When my husband started to get sea sick, he offered us several options to either extend the fishing trip or go snorkeling. He was truly interested in making sure we had the best time. When we go back, we’ll schedule several tours with him. He’s professional, his boat/equipment is well maintained, he is highly knowledgeable, and he speaks English (for non-Spanish speakers). He also does tours to waterfalls and a number of places.”

“My mom and I visited Huatulco a couple of years ago and really enjoyed it so we decided to go back this year, little did we know at the time that we would visit twice in one month because we had such an awesome time!! When we were there in early Feb. we decided we wanted to go deep sea fishing for the first time, some people we knew recommended a local guide named Crisanto Carmona. Well, what an amazing time we had with him, Crisanto and his partner Enrique were so professional, their boat is super clean and they provide proper working equipment, they really just want you to have a great experience and that is exactly what we had!!! Being our first time, we started out catching smaller fish, then moved up to Mahi Mahi, lastly we were lucky enough to catch a Blue Marlin, what an experience that was! So needless to say we were bit by the Crisanto bug :) We enjoyed fishing with Crisanto so much we decided to go back the beginning of March 2012 to try our luck again, this time we wanted to catch a Sailfish. Once again Crisanto and Enrique never let us down, we caught the Sailfish we went to catch!! So much fun! Crisanto is a fabulous guide, top rated actually, and I would highly recommend him! Huatulco is a fabulous place to visit, the people are great, and it is always hot! hot! hot! I am looking forward to my next visit to Huatulco and to fish with Crisanto again!”

“Deep sea fishing with Crisanto Carmona was a pleasure. Me and two friends fished out of Crisanto’s 30 footer with a 150HP Yamaha on it during the week of March 12, 2012. He first picked us up from the Dream’s Spa Hotel in the The Bahia Tangolunda at 6:30 am, right on time, took us to his boat in a marina just minutes from the hotel, there we were greeted with his partner with the boat running and ready to go, the boat was very clean, lots of room, there was a cooler filled with refreshments and for lunch Crisanto treated us to an authentic Mexican meal. It was good. He has all of the gear you need on board, we fished with 5 lines out at all times, we fished around the 10 mile mark for the first few hours , then he took us out to around the 22 to 25 mile mark to see if we could catch some thing big, it was not our lucky day for large fish but that was OK, the day was beautiful, we caught lots of Bonito, they are not large fish but they certainly fight like they are. We fished for 8 hours, had a great time. I do plan to get back to Huatulco some day and I will definitely look for Crisanto to take me out again. Crisanto does snorkel tours as well as other tours.”
